Hey there, I'm Evan
My Story
I had my first exposure to UX during Career Day in 7th grade. I am Purdue University graduate with a degree in User Experience Design with a minor in Management. Purdue is the first university to offer a Bachelor of Science degree in UX as part of their technical STEM program. To go deeper into UX, I completed the 7 module Google UXD Certification. I love developing technology solutions through a user-centered lens and with a creative design approach. For technology to actually help people, it needs to be intuitive, simple, engaging and beautiful - that's where I like to focus!
I've been building my skills in the UX methodology and tools such as Figma and Adobe. I now work at Kyndryl as a UX/UI designer with the focus of making complex, IT infrastructure solutions engaging and easy to use. I enjoy the research, design and prototyping aspect of a project. The most satisfying part of this UX work is sharing prototypes with sponsors/stakeholders and seeing how users respond to a proposed solution.

In my spare time I like to make analog things. I enjoy business start-up competitions. I am a hype-fashion reseller and have taken courses on trends/culture at London's Central St Martins, visited SXSW and CES, learned welding, and taken a shoe pattern workshop. I get my hands dirty restoring classic cars; a '57 Cadillac is currently on the lift.
Be it hands-on or when doing digital UX Design, I like to work in a team environment that comprises a healthy variety of perspectives, skills and culture. Let's inspire each other while we make great products!
